Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is a waste that poses immediate or long-term threats to public health or to the environment. Hazardous wastes can be liquid, solid, gases or sludges. It is important to review the labels of items before disposing of them. If the labels contain any of these words: CAUTION, WARNING, DANGER, or POISON, they could potentially contain hazardous materials, which need to be disposed of properly. It is important to remember not to throw them in the garbage, don't pour them in the sewer, don't pour them on the ground, and don't pour them into your septic tank.

Please refer to Dakota County Recycling Zone or Washington County Recycling Center for more details on collection events as well as disposal guides
